supported community

The Moinho Village has existed for over 250 years and is made up of 80 certified communities. It is located 12 kilometers from the city of Alto Paraíso, in the tourist region of Chapada dos Veadeiros, surrounded by mountains and crystal-clear rivers. Of quilombola origin, the region is known for its rich biodiversity, production of organic food, medicinal herbs and local knowledge.

Despite all their wealth, the residents of Moinho and the surrounding area have serious health problems due to difficulty in accessing medical exams and care, in addition to not having adequate nutritional food and a source of income that would allow them to improve their quality of life. A harsh reality in which the lack of public investment in health, education and work generates unimaginable problems. And it is precisely in this scenario that Karibu will act by providing care and educational activities.
